Gérard Souzay (8 December 1918 – 17 August 2004) was a French baritone, and one of the foremost interpreters of art song in his generation.

La Bonne Chanson
Raise a cheer! Hip hip hooray!
In honor of Gérard Souzay!
There was no one fine as he
Interpreting French mélodie;
And don’t neglect to hear, dear reader,
When he renders German Lieder.
All in all, there’s little fault in
All those records made with Dalton.
Shout huzzah! and give regard,
On his birthday, to Gérard.
