James Dunn (b. 4 Feb 1950) was a member of The Stylistics in the 1970s.

Not Everyone Can Be a Star
The Stylistics’ brand of soul,
With marketing rechristening,
Came to have a steady role
In mainstream Easy Listening.
The Soul Train clips are there to see,
(James Dunn and all the crew),
A gentle brand of R & B
That “made you feel brand new.”
And though each member of the group
Might blend in with the rest,
It’s each ingredient in a soup
That gives the bowl its zest.
