Robert McFerrin, baritone,
Had a status all his own,
Until his son was better known.

That even with the career he had,
He now was known as Bobby’s dad?

Max Reger (19 March 1873 – 11 May 1916) had an unrivaled command of counterpoint and late Romantic chromaticism. Critical opinion varies as to whether this was for better or for worse.

But those that don’t acquire it,
Regret the energy they waste
In efforts to admire it.
