Only the Best

Many Cahn and Van Heusen songs were the title songs for Frank Sinatra albums of the late 1950s. – Wikipedia

Though Jimmy van Heusen, mid-career,

Ranked with the veterans, the tried-and-the-true guys,

It still was a special delight to hear

His songs on recordings as sung by Old Blue Eyes.

And hoped that the fashion would fade,

At last it was clear

From the length of his career

That his jazz violin made the grade.
