The Road Less Traveled

If Gary Karr

Had played guitar,

The chances are

He’d have been the star

At some dive bar

With his tip jar.

But in his case,

The double bass,

(Less commonplace,

But no disgrace),

Gave him the space

To set his pace

And be an ace.
