Pyotr Tchaikovsky (7 May 1840 [O.S. 25 April] – 6 November [O.S. 25 October] 1893) is one of the greatest and most popular composers in the classical repertoire.


Heartstrings

If you’re feeling disheartened and bleak,

You can find all the solace you seek

In the plangent extremes

Of the lachrymose themes

Of the symphony called Pathétique.
