Edwin Franko Goldman (1 January 1878 – 21 February 1956) was a significant American band composer and conductor.
Marching into the New Year
Although a band cannot refuse a
Rousing march composed by Sousa,
They sometimes heed the siren call
Of Goldman’s famous “On the Mall,”
And then the band enjoys the zest
Of marching at its peppy best.
