Frédéric Chopin (1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849) remains one of the most popular of nineteenth century composers.

When Chopin was courting George Sand,
He caressed her authorial hand,
And composed a new work, a
Charming mazurka,
As played by a Polish town band.
