Arthur Somervell (5 June 1863 – 2 May 1937) was an English composer, best remembered for his songs and choral music.
Changing Times
His public was thrilled to applaud
For Somervell’s settings from Maud,
But Tennyson’s verse
Has aged for the worse,
And Victorian passions have thawed.
