Tom Jones (b. 7 June 1940) is a Welsh singer. His career began with a string of top-ten hits in the mid-1960s and continues today.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Going, Going….

There isn’t an inherent harm

In making music full of smarm,

We all expect a nightclub act

To lack a certain taste and tact, -

With age the act is less overt, 

I'm sure you've buttoned up that shirt,

And have you been advised, perhaps,

To eighty-six the finger snaps?

I know you earned your place on top

Of record charts in ‘60s pop,

But take your mic, and close up shop,

You’re at an age when you should stop.
