Jan Dismas Zelenka (16 October 1679 – 23 December 1745) was an important Czech composer and musician.

According to Susanne Oschmann, "Jan Dismas Zelenka has of late been recognized as one of the most original composers of a musical epoch that was long thought to have been shaped by Bach and Handel". – Wikipedia

Was buried at Christmas,

   For his friends a most dolorous time.

But this fact is a gift

For a blogger adrift

   And casting about for a rhyme.

You may think it’s too easy

When rhymes are this breezy,

   But it’s hardly a secret that I’m

Addicted to flimsy

Nonsensical whimsy

   Which isn’t, thank goodness, a crime.
