Henry Février (2 October 1875 – 6 July 1957) was a French composer.
Carefully Taught
I’d never heard of Fevrier,
At least, that is, until today,
But he was taught by Massanet,
Had lessons also with Fauré,
And privately, with Messager.
You’d think that teachers such as they
Would send him on his merry way
To have a career très distingué.
Hélas! my friends, I'm here to say,
This much-instructed protégé,
Despite his striking resumé
Is hardly ever played today.
