Bobby Short (15 September 1924 – 21 March 2005) was a much-recorded and beloved cabaret singer. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Life that Late We Led

The impish charm of Bobby Short

Was known from records and report,

And folks forgot their cares a while

When he performed at the Carlyle.

Sophisticated elegance

Has faded to irrelevance,

And with it, stylings of the sort

We used to hear from Bobby Short.
