Johann David Heinichen (17 April 1683 – 16 July 1729) was a German composer and music theorist.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Youthful Pursuits

In 1710, he published the first edition of his major treatise on the thoroughbass. -- Wikipedia

When he was still a young unknown,

Herr Heinichen assured his place

By using a decisive tone

And writing on the thoroughbass.

And thus, I think it’s rather nice

He’s still consulted for advice.
