Leopold Mozart (14 November 1719 – 28 May 1787) was a composer, violinist, and teacher, and the father of W. A. Mozart.

His doting father Leopold

Took him to the most prestigious

Venues, where this most prodigious

Wunderkind provoked euphoria

In those courtly auditoria,

And earned some ducats all in gold

To fill the purse of Leopold.
