Either/Or

Frank Zappa set out to provoke

The hackles of regular folks;

And pundits who rate him

Will love him or hate him

As a musical god or a joke.

The Rice Is Right

Rice composed the music for more than eighteen productions that appeared on Broadway. As a producer, Rice introduced popular performers Pauline Hall, Lillian Russell, and Fay Templeton. – adapted from Wikipedia

I thought today it would be nice

To honor Edward Everett Rice,

And celebrate his Broadway shows

That no one in our era knows.

He wrote some songs, and then produced them,

And found new stars who helped to boost them.

And that, I'm thinking, should suffice,

But if you think it's too concise.

Then you can research E.E. Rice
