Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji (14 August 1892 – 15 October 1988) was a composer whose extremely difficult and complex scores have a cult following of devoted pianists and listeners.

Sorabji, eccentric and mystical

In matters mundane and artistical,

Wrote scores so exotic

They verged on narcotic,

And perhaps just a touch alchemistical.
