Eubie Blake (7 February 1887 – 12 February 1983) was an important pianist and composer of popular songs and shows. [This post is in celebration of Black History Month.]

Career Path: Ending
Eubie!, a revue featuring the music of Blake opened on Broadway in
1978. The show was a hit at the Ambassador Theatre, where it ran for 439
