++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Johannes Brahms (7 May 1833 – 3 April 1897) was one of the greatest and still most popular nineteenth century composers.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky (7 May 1840 [O.S. 25 April] – 6 November [O.S. 25 October] 1893) is one of the most popular composers in the classical repertoire.

The touching thing about Tchaikovsky and Brahms is that, over a period of time in the 1880's, getting to know each other over several bottles of wine, they actually became merry drinking buddies, despite never becoming admirers of each other's music. --  LA Opus

Brahms and Tchaikovsky weren't birds of a feather,

But their birthdays will always be tethered together.

Since neither composer admired the other one,

Each wished that his day had occurred on another one.
