Johann Christoph Bach (6 December (?) [bapt. 18 December (O.S. 8 December)] 1642 – 31 March 1703) was a German composer and organist. [Several sources give several different birth dates, both O.S. and N.S., but this date suits the needs of my blog, so here it is.]
Bachs to the Future
Johann Christoph was the son of Heinrich Bach, a first cousin of J.S. Bach’s father Johann Ambrosius Bach. This made Johann Christoph J.S. Bach's first cousin once removed. Furthermore, Johann Christoph was the uncle of Maria Barbara Bach, J. S. Bach's second cousin and first wife. — Wikipedia
I would doubt that the Bachs had a plan,
When they coupled up woman to man,
But the folks that they dated
Were often related
In this semi-incestuous clan.
