Anton Bruckner (4 September 1824 – 11 October 1896) was one of the great late nineteenth century symphonists
Sunday in the Loft with Anton (Two Limericks)

When Bruckner was done on a Sunday
He didn’t relax even one day,
He finished his chores
Then he worked on his scores,
And never took time for a fun day.
(2)
The service as sung at St. Florian
Was probably chaste and Gregorian,
But devout attendees
Had Herr Bruckner on keys,
Which must have been something to glory in.
