 J. Fred Coots (2 May 1897 – 8 April 1985) was an American songwriter, most remembered for "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," "You Go To My Head," and "Love Letters in the Sand."

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No Pouting, No Shouting!


Unpack you mothballed Santa suits

And sing a song for J. Fred Coots!

Who had a few romantic hits

But when he is remembered it’s

More than likely that the reason ‘ll

Be a song that’s only seasonal.


So raise your voice though plants are sprouting

Give Santa Claus a springtime outing!

Conquered European stages,
