If the Name Fits…

Stoner changed his last name from Rothstein years before the term "stoner" became synonymous with the drug culture. – adapted from Robert Brum, “Nyack's Rob Stoner recalls Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue,” www.lohud.com

I do not know, but guess that he’d

Have no aversion to some weed,

But Stoner took his name before

The word was found in culture lore.

And yet his birthday is the event he

Commemorates on each 420.

I Baptize Thee…

It’s time to write some verses here

For Johann Gottlieb Karl Spazier.

Though I’ve not heard of him ‘til now

I’ll write about him anyhow.

His very meager fame belongs

To several small, but pleasant, songs.

But what a name! In days of yore

They knew that sometimes more is more!
