Klaus Mäkelä (b.17 January 1996) is a Finnish conductor and cellist.
Busy, Busy, Busy
He is the chief conductor of the Oslo Philharmonic, and music director of the Orchestre de Paris. Mäkelä is also artistic partner and chief conductor-designate of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and music director-designate of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. – Wikipedia
The question that confronts us now
About Klaus Mäkelä is how
Can anybody at the prow
Of Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw
Wipe his sweaty maestro’s brow
And find a strength that will allow
Attention to the CSO,
Where even in the wind and snow
He has to give another show.
He’s just one man, but it’s a pity,
In light of how his time is split, he
Can’t become his own committee.
He must have known that he could handle
Burning both ends of his candle, —--
Avoiding shocks to both his houses
Is now the daunting task of Klaus’s.
