Camille Pleyel (18 December 1788 – 4 May 1855) was a French virtuoso pianist, publisher, and owner of Pleyel et Cie.

Camille became Chopin’s appointed provider [of pianos], who gave in return all his Parisian public concerts in the Pleyel salons. He packed the house until his very last performance, a few months before his death in 1849. – pleyel.com

And held Parisian throngs in thrall.

A thing that’s bound to happen when you

He had the idea that he’d seek

To publish a song every week;

He kept it alive

Through week number five...
