Hubert Parry (27 February 1848 – 7 October 1918) was an important British composer, teacher and music historian, a few of whose compositions maintain a place in the choral repertoire.
At a Solemn Musick

Are seldom light, and never airy.
The man was disinclined to romp,
But certainly enjoyed his pomp.
