Mrs. Miller (5 October 1907 – 5 July 1997) recorded several novelty vocal albums in the mid-1960s.
When the Party’s Over
Sing the praise of Mrs. Miller,
Briefly on the charts until her
Special manner of defiling
Well-known tunes with quirky styling
Lost the strange appeal it had
As a wacky 60s fad.
Even so, there is no shame
When such an unexpected fame,
Evanescent as a flame,
Is snuffed as quickly as it came.
Roses make a fine bouquet,
But even roses fade away.
