Surprising, Albert Hay Malotte (19 May 1895 – 16 November 1964) wrote music for Disney cartoons, but he will be forever known for his effective, if bombastic, setting of the Lord's Prayer.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Solo Effort

Malotte, (Albert Hay)

Has faded away,

Excepting for where

“Malotte’s Lord's Prayer”

Is still standard fare

For singers maintaining

Their classical training

By stalwartly straining,

Where so much depends

On the way that it ends: 

That dangerous quarry

“The Power and Glory,”

 

And then the endeavor

To conquer "forever."
