Carl Stamitz (bapt. 8 May 1745 – 9 November 1801) was a German composer and a prominent representative of the second generation of the Mannheim School.

(He wrote symphonies galore
For the famous Mannheim corps).
Carl had a younger brother,
And they sound like one another,
It’s also true that both sound răther
Like their very famous father.
