Kate Loder, later Lady Thompson (21 August 1825 – 30 August 1904) was an English composer and pianist.

On 10 July 1871, the first British performance of the Brahms German Requiem took place privately at Loder's London home using Brahms’s version for piano duet accompaniment which became known as the "London Version" of the Requiem. — adapted from Wikipedia
It is a fact that London owed her
Gratitude, maybe a cheer,
For Lady Thompson, née Kate Loder
Had hosted the London premiere
Of Brahms’s classic in the version
Adapted for piano duet,
A dour, but dignified diversion,
For London’s intelligent set.
