Sound Matters

If Gary Puckett got a lot by ribbing

Because he hailed from Minnesota’s Hibbing,

I’m sure it was a droplet in the bucket

To what he faced because his name was Puckett.

Hang In There

The extreme complexity and difficulty of his Missa Sabrinensis has prevented it becoming widely known. The critic Michael Kennedy , however, considers it one of Howells' finest works. -- adapted from Wikipedia

When faced with this music of Howells,

Some choirs have thrown in their towels

But critics of weight

Have averred that it’s great,

With ardently offered avowals.
