Joseph Joachim (28 June 1831 – 15 August 1907) was a Hungarian violinist, conductor, composer and teacher.
Two Unlikely Limericks on the Name of Joachim
(1)
The fastidious fans of Joachim
Were seldom so gauche as to stalk him,
When (rarely) a groupie
Got overly snoopy,
A bodyguard came in to block him.
(2)
The critics of Joseph Joachim
Were likely to praise, not to mock him;
They knew he took pride
In his serious side,
And they chose, in respect, not to knock him.
