Career Move

The circumstance described here is entirely imaginary. —- not Wikipedia

Said Holliger’s dad, “It’s a no go!

You can’t have a career where there’s no dough!”

But “no” turned to “yes”

When he saw the success

That his son had achieved with the oboe.

He’s Back! (Maybe)

In 1972 Holliger recorded Six Trio Sonatas for Oboe and Bassoon by Jan Dismas Zelenka. This recording is credited for the "Zelenka Renaissance". — adapted from Wikipedia

The great “Zelenka Renaissance”

Has had, all told, a mixed response.

In any case, it was big-hearted

Of Holliger to get it started.
